Don't try to be someone you're not. Your old friends see right through it.
The new guys may be fooled into thinking you're all into that, but the rest of us just raise an eyebrow and go 'huh?'
I really like you, buddy, but until you get out of your weird shell and figure out who you are, and WHO YOU'RE NOT, I can't really develop the friendship any further.
