Cheers.

The Hive tonight reminded me of the bar in Cheers.
A few friends came from labs, got together, ordered food, talked a lot, gossiped a little, and laughed a whole bunch. Then, it was time to go home, to take care of the responsibilities that await there.
The theme song to Cheers popped into my head, and so I voiced that the situation reminded me of that show. No one else was very familiar with it, but it led to a discussion on sitcoms... just like such a comment would have on Cheers.

Making your way in the world today
takes everything you've got.
Takin' a break from all your worries
Sure would help a lot.
Wouldn't you like to get away?

All those nights when you've got no life,
The check is in the mail.
And your little angle hung the cat up by its tail.
And your third fiancee didn't show.
Sometimes you wanna go-

Where everybody knows your name!
And they're always glad you came.
You wanna be where you can see
our troubles are all the same.
You wanna be where everybody knows your name.

Roll outta bed, Mr. Coffee's dead;
The morning's lookin' bright.
And your shrink ran off to Europe-
and didn't even write!
Be glad there's one place in the world-

Where everybody knows your name!
And they're always glad you came.
You wanna go where people know
people are all the same.
You wanna go where everybody knows your name.

where everybody knows your name,
and they're always glad you came...
where everybody knows your name,
and they're always glad you came...
where everybody knows your name,
and they're always glad you came......
